The original Eclipse Animator listing is published by @riftkuro, asset 86116556258301. The original Moon Animator 2 listing is published by @xsixx, asset 4725618216. Check both publisher and asset number before comparing an offer; similarly named uploads are not interchangeable evidence.
Our review date is October 16, 2026. We have not run a head-to-head benchmark or verified a complete current Moon feature matrix. The useful comparison below separates confirmed identity and price observations from workflows that need a current-project check.
What we can verify
| Question | Eclipse Animator | Moon Animator 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Original publisher | @riftkuro; asset 86116556258301 | @xsixx; asset 4725618216 |
| Price evidence | October 16 signed-out live store check: Get Plugin, with no listed USD amount. Recheck your account’s offer; no official free cutoff or timezone verified. | Official live metadata showed USD 19.99, purchasable and not free, at review. Check the current checkout price. |
| IK, graphs and layers | Creator-listed features with official tutorial chapters. | Current equivalent coverage was not verified from a primary-source feature matrix. |
| Collaboration | Creator lists live collaboration; tutorial covers live sessions. | Current collaboration workflow was not independently verified. |
| Blender exchange | Creator lists armature import and animation exchange; creator-linked Blender companion available. | Current Blender transfer support was not independently verified. |
| Performance and reliability | Creator describes it as very new, with bugs being addressed. No independent benchmark here. | No equivalent comparative benchmark here. |
Moon’s dollar amount comes from Roblox’s current product metadata. It is a dated observation, not a permanent price. For Eclipse, read the free-offer evidence and then the live store; we cannot confirm an exact end date or future price schedule.
“Not verified” means we lack enough evidence for a claim. It does not mean Moon lacks the feature. Older community tutorials, price memories and feature opinions can be useful leads, but they cannot establish the current product’s full capabilities.
Which Eclipse workflows are documented?
If a specific feature interests you, start at the relevant part of the creator’s official tutorial:
- Graph editing at 1:06 for adjusting motion between keyframes.
- The IK-related keyframe control at 1:33 for the creator’s explanation of that control.
- Animation layers at 4:58 and live sessions at 5:29.
- Video reference at 9:38 and Blender add-on setup at 10:25.
These chapters show where the creator explains a workflow. They do not prove better results, lower latency or compatibility with every custom rig. For Blender work, also read the current developer companion instructions.
A small trial that answers real questions
Use a duplicate place and keep your original editor project. Choose the same rig, frame rate and short motion when evaluating both tools. A one- or two-second motion is enough to expose the operations you repeat frequently without turning the test into a large production task.
- Pose and select. Move and rotate the parts you actually animate. Can you select the intended joint and tell which axis space is active?
- Set timing. Establish two poses, adjust their spacing and preview the result. Use the timing calculator to keep your intended duration consistent across frame rates.
- Adjust interpolation. Try the current editor’s documented easing or curve workflow. Compare whether you can produce the change in speed your shot requires, rather than counting menu options.
- Use one essential extra. Add the camera, reference, layer or collaboration task that matters to your project. Follow the creator’s current instructions and record any requirements.
- Save, reopen and export. Confirm that the editable project reopens and that the intended output works in its destination. A timeline preview alone does not complete an export test.
Record your plugin versions, operating system, rig type and any failed step. Keep observation separate from cause: a slow scene does not identify whether the editor, rig complexity, Studio or another plugin caused it.
Should you switch?
If you already have a working Moon project, keep it intact while evaluating Eclipse. We have not verified direct editor-project interchange. Sharing a Roblox rig or supporting an exported animation does not automatically mean one editor can open the other’s native project file.
If you are starting fresh, use the installation and first-animation guide to understand Eclipse’s entry workflow. The controls reference helps compare repeated actions, and the FAQ covers platform and companion questions. Decide using the tasks you need to finish and the result of a small trial, with both current store prices in view.
The main guide provides the Eclipse overview; the official plugin page keeps its identity checks together. We publish no winner score because the research here does not include a controlled comparative test.
